ELISABETH ELLIOT and her testimony

Elisabeth Elliot (née Howard; born December 21, 1926) died this morning (June 15, 2015) at the age of 88.

She was a beautiful woman of whom the world was not worthy.

Here is her brief testimony, told in her typically understated way:

Однажды Иисус пошел из Иудеи, южной части Израиля, в Галилею. Между Иудеей и Галилеей находилась Самария. Самаряне, как и Евреи, верили в одного Бога, Творца неба и земли, но у них были свои обычаи, свои священники, и когда-то даже свой храм (который был разрушен евреями). Евреи не хотели общаться с ними.

Когда Иисус со Своими учениками пришел в самарийский город Сихарь, то, устав с дороги, Он сел у колодца, а Его ученики пошли купить пищу. Был полдень. Одна самарянка пришла почерпнуть воды из колодезя. Иисус сказал ей:

«Дай Мне пить». Женщина удивилась и ответила: «Как Ты, будучи Иудей, просишь пить у меня, Самарянки?… Иисус сказал ей в ответ: „Если бы ты знала дар Божий и Кто говорит тебе: дай Мне пить, то ты сама просила бы у Него, и Он дал бы тебе воду живую“. Женщина говорит Ему: „Господин! Тебе и почерпнуть

Как приучить себя пить больше воды

1. «Привяжите» воду к действию. Утром после пробуждения сделайте хотя бы 3 глотка воды. Садитесь за компьютер, готовите обед/ужин – ставьте рядом воду и делайте пару глотков. Попейте перед выходом из дома и когда возвращаетесь домой. Берите с собой воду в дорогу в небольшой бутылке.

2. Смешивайте в блендере 100 мл свежевыжатого апельсинового сока (или большой сочный персик без кожуры в сезон) + 1 ст. л. сока лимона/лайма + 100 мл газированной воды типа Perrier, San Pellegrino, «Нарзан». Постепенно замените газированную воду негазированной, она полезнее для желудка и кишечника.
